1. Alumni Relations Committee

The Alumni Relations Committee (ARC) is dedicated to the cultivation of future leaders within our association. Collaborating closely with seasoned members of the executive board, ARC works to organize large-scale events tailored to enrich the experiences of our club members. Moreover, ARC is committed to fostering enduring relationships with esteemed Ohio State alumni, leveraging these connections for the mutual advancement and benefit of our club.

Selection occurs through a competitive interview process conducted during the autumn semester.

  • Applications will open on September 10th and close promptly on September 24th. Interviews will be conducted during the week of September 30th. Please reach out if you have questions about your application.

  • Engage with a peer career coach to ensure a thorough review of your resume before submitting your application. Tailor each experience to emphasize your collaborative abilities. Highlighting prior event planning experience will greatly enhance your application.

2. FINRA SIE PREP Program

The FINRA SIE Prep program is an intensive 7-week study program to prepare our members to take and pass the FINRA SIE Exam. The program is recommended for underclassmen interested in finance who are looking to build technical knowledge. The program offers numerous benefits, including increased marketability during the job search process.

Topics covered in the exam include capital markets, product risks, trading activities, and an overview of the regulatory framework.

Selection occurs through an application process during the middle of each semester. Candidates sit for the examination the week following the commencement of the semester.

    Moreover, participants will have access to supplementary resources including office hour sessions, video materials curated by UFA's executive team, and an exam quicksheet.   • The program recommends dedicating 50-80 hours to study, taking into account prior knowledge. To facilitate effective learning, study sessions are structured to never exceed 90 minutes in duration. Depending on the length of assigned readings, participants may find themselves completing their study sessions in under an hour.

    Candidates study five days per week according to the recommended program. Closer to the exam date, additional study sessions may be beneficial, allowing candidates to enhance their preparation as needed.

  • The FINRA SIE exam serves as a crucial stepping stone for various career paths within the financial industry.
